KAWASAKI MAN B&W 6S50MC & 7S50MC/ME Cylinder Liner
Description:
The MAN 6S50MC is an ultra-long stroke (stroke/cylinder diameter ratio of 4:1) compact model developed by the Danish ship B&W company to meet the needs of the shipping market. It aims to pursue fast, high-power ships, reduce external size to obtain maximum cargo space, and maintain high reliability.
At present, MAN B&W has only launched four models of MC-C machine: S70MC-C, S60MO-C, S50MC-C, and S46MC-C. Generally speaking, compared with similar MC machines, the new MC-C machine has three breakthroughs: it increases the power output of the host by 10%, reduces the host length square size by 10%, and reduces the overall weight of the main machine by 10%.
Regarding the 6S50MC Diesel Engine Cylinder Liner for KAWASAKI/MAN B&W, it has also been improved accordingly. The cylinder block eliminates the cooling water cavity, and the cooling water pipe adopts the non-casting form, which makes casting easier. The S50MC-C is more bold to cast the cylinder block into one with the CAM box.
The position of the connecting surface between the cylinder block and the cylinder head is reduced. The cooling water jacket is simple, but there is a cooling water jacket on the upper 1/3 of the cylinder sleeve. The cooling water jacket of the lower part was eliminated, and the thin long structure was adopted in combination with the characteristic of ultra-long stroke.
